Welcome to the Northern British Bike Championship

Poachers Pre 65 Trials Club are proud to co-ordinate the Northern British Bike Championship.

Currently a seven round road trial series for classic pre 65 British solo trials bikes.

Our events are supported by some of the most active companies in off road sport.

Each round consists of a single lap of ideally 25 miles with approximately 60% off road and 40% using minor B and C roads.

Each of the seven host clubs is responsible for setting out their own event and most events have approximately 35 sections that have dual routes for Expert and Clubman riders.

Riders results will count towards the final Championship position with awards usually being presented at the Dirt Bike Show in February where the NBBC displays a stand.

The Poachers Bag 29th March 2020

As the days get longer and hopefully dryer, we are looking forward to our first round hosted by Poachers Pre65 Classic Trials Club, the event is set in the picturesque Lincolnshire Wolds.  Starting from Smiths Farm Withcal, riders can look forward to approximately 33 sections set over 6 venues and connected by Farm tracks and “B” roads which make up this traditional Classic Road Trial.  Each section has dual routes suitable for both Expert and Clubman riders.

This year the organizers are pleased to announce that they will be returning to Biscathorpe Pit for a group of sections, this is an excellent venue and one that has not been used for the last 2 years. The event is due to close on the 23rd of March so riders have less than 2 weeks to get their entry sent in and a place reserved.

The entry form is attached to this article and more information about NBBC can be found on the website. www.northernbritishbikechampionship.co.uk or contact Poachers Bag event secretary Mike Gallagher on 01507 443232.

NBBC Event Cancellations

Given the recent Covid-19 Pandemic and acting on instructions from our governing body the AMCA directive today, it is with great sadness that we will have to postpone all our forthcoming events until further notice.

Both the AMCA and the ACU have cancelled all permits until the end of April, we will be planning to continue all our events for 2020 as soon as the restrictions have been lifted. We will be looking at the situation on a week by week basis and will post any information that we have on this site.

For any riders that have entered the Poachers Bag, I propose that we keep all your entries on file until we have a new date for the event, if the new date is not acceptable to you your entry fee will be refunded.

In the meantime, we urge you to follow all the Government heath guidelines, keep healthy and safe, we look forward to seeing you all in the summer. MG
